My mom bought me a 5' tall Barbie house when I was about 5 yrs old and she found some small wicker furniture (I wish I still had it, it would have been so vintage!). However, about a year later it didn't take me long to turn it into a completely organized bookshelf, and so began my career as Professional Organizer/Home Stager at age 6. lol. It's amazing how what we are interested in as a child rings true as an adult, now I run this biz: http://www.FloridaHomeStager.com if anyone is in FL looking for Decor/home Staging advice. ;)Karla@TheClassyWomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02935511162489436043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5125651606833039061.post-19184875922608922552009-09-14T20:38:10.150-05:002009-09-14T20:38:10.150-05:00I'm having one of those "why didn't I...I'm having one of those "why didn't I think of that" moments. And what I found for doll's furniture was mostly at a dollar store! They were push out & put together pieces made of a soft pressboard (they had little tabs that I glued in place. Then I painted or stained them. And for the chairs & sofas, I covered little foam cushions in fabric & glued them in place. They weren't as sophisticaated as store bought, but they did turn out beautifully. Check out Michaels and see if they have anything like that.Sandy aka Doris the Greathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16135704111702244735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5125651606833039061.post-25652227917214444352009-09-07T20:38:06.661-05:002009-09-07T20:38:06.661-05:00this is such a nice idea, my Mom did this for us w...this is such a nice idea, my Mom did this for us when we were girls, for furniture, she covered little boxes with fabric and construction paper, and then you can use sharpies to draw on them, you can make couches and beds, televisions, stove, fridge, armchairs, anything rectangular! ...so really inexpensive, we loved it!Lyndsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15666442954046120275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5125651606833039061.post-62824976814726564152009-09-07T18:07:49.017-05:002009-09-07T18:07:49.017-05:00use the michael's 40% off coupons and they hav...use the michael's 40% off coupons and they have unfinished ones there. also, ebay seems to have a lot.Katherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07134399327266965470noreply@blogger.com
