I previously mentioned that I was taking last year's tank tops that still fit in the chest/shoulders but are too short and adding fabric skirts to make tunics. I finally got an action shot today. She really seemed to like the top because it combined her two favorite clothing items -- a dress and a "bathing suit shirt" (i.e., a tank top). If you have about .5 yards of fabric and a means of making gathers, this is a fun and quick project.

ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm doing this with some of my tees - they're all too short and so out of style because of it! I found some great ones at goodwill to cut apart & sew onto my own shirts.
