Halloween Cuteness

I have never been a "Halloween person." Just never really got into it. BUT since Halloween is like The Most Important Day Of The Year for kids, I am going to have to learn to love it. Here are some cute things I am loving for Halloween.

This owl banner by Homemaker Hobbies is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Yesterday I got a look at this Bat Chandelier at the Pottery Barn Kids store. I wanted to look at it to see if I could make one myself. First of all, it is SO MUCH CUTER than it looks in the picture. Second of all, it looks like it would take forever to make.

A neighbor has some of these gigantic, four-foot-wide, posable spiders stuck to his house and they are so creepy! In a good way! This one is from Halloween Express, and they also have a 30-inch size.

How scary are these crows from Oriental Trading Company? I know they're just birds, but geez. They look creepy.

I also like this lace spider web table topper from Oriental Trading. I definitely could not make that myself unless I learn to tat in the next month (unlikely).

Last but not least, you know Bakerella is going to have some Halloween awesomeness to share soon. Here are her Mummy Pops from last year. Too cute to eat (almost)!

Happy Halloween!

I'm totally in love with Halloween. I always have been. My parents always made a big deal out of it when I was a kid and now we do the same for my daughter and my niece's. It's always a family event and in 32 years I've never missed the chance to dress up and be someone else for a day. Now, if I was beyond wealthy, I'd want a lot of the stuff that Grandin Road catalog has to offer. I'm sure they can be found online as well.

LOVE Halloween! Over the past couple years, it has become my favorite holiday! Can't wait to see what your little one is going to be. I like your new blog design, btw.

It's never been my favorite, either, but Halloween decorating is definitely growing on me. I try to stick to "happy" decorations like pumpkins with silly faces, instead of scary stuff....Those owls are great!

Hey Ashlee! I wanted to pop in and tell you I'm really liking the new blogger background you've got. It's a lot easier to read your two sidebars now.

Also, I love Crew Cuts and I am jealous you were at an outlet. I love that tangerine dress. ER has a few things from their line, all bought by her childless Godmother who likes to spoil her and is also the source of our Janie and Jack, Lily Pulitzer and Ralph Lauren outfits. We have two of their headbands and they are SO CUTE on. I got one on clearance so keep checking, snagged it for six bucks.

Hi Ashlee, I love your Halloween picks! Especially the chandelier. I have a friend with so many vintage Halloween decorations, she enters the entire collection in the State Fair.

I love Halloween and anything Fall. I can't wait to see how you recreate the bat chandlier. We definitely do the "harvest-y" non-scary look at our house. Now, I just need some cool weather...

These are all awesome ideas!! I love the owl banner-simply adorable! I'm not into hallowe'en either, I treat it more as harvest time with pumpkins, leaves and other fall goodies. I'm loving these elegant glitter pumpkins from Martha too!
