Where Can I Get One Of These?

I have never seen these awesome front-riding kid bike seats before. Anyone know where I can find one? I think my 2.5er would agree to ride up front (she has vehemently vetoed riding on the back or in a trailer). Thanks!!!!
P.S. -- Tori, call me!

I NEED This For My Kitchen!

Because that's how much this awesome Kitchen Helper costs, and I REALLY, REALLY want to get it, and I REALLY, REALLY don't want to wait until Christmas. With baby starting school two days a week, and the resulting drop in disposable income, I am hesitant to spend money on non-essentials. However, this thing allegedly keeps a toddler occupied and happy in the kitchen for hours, so that might make it an essential. Available for the price noted above, with free shipping, from Amazon and several other online retailers.

Oompa, Loompa . . . Bye-bye To Your Dough

Have you ever wanted to just go nuts in a toy store like Tom Hanks in "Big?" Oh. Well maybe it's just me then. Anyway, that is how I feel about Oompa Toys. They have really cool stuff you can't find a lot of other places, and the way the site is set up is really cool, too. You can shop by country of origin, organic vs. non-organic, by age group, etc. Shipping is a flat $4.95 or free if your order is over $65 (trust me, it will be). All this doesn't come cheap, but it's still fun to look and get ideas. For example, I really love "Daisy's Market" shown above, but for $90, I think I'll see if I can get DH to build one for me instead!
Love this Jet Trike from Italtrike. And it's about half as much as yesterday's Kettler.
Sweet little organic striped Goose.
Very cool drum with drumsticks.

Sand and water "mill" for the budding engineers.

Slick Ride

This is the Kettler Kettrike Air Navigator Tricycle. It costs $209. This is more than some of our parents probably paid for a car at one time. I really want to find one on Craig's List because it gets great reviews. Plus our neighbor has one, and her 13 month old seems to love it. My kid won't ride in a stroller around the neighborhood anymore, but this might be just the ticket. Let me know if you find a used one! Available with free Super Saver shipping at Amazon.

Here Comes The Sun

So, Rebecca turned me on to the One Step Ahead baby/toddler/kid shopping site. I am in love with this site. They have products you can't find elsewhere, excellent prices, helpful reviews and a free magazine subscription for purchases over $75. Plus they accept PayPal. Considering that I live on the surface of the sun (figuratively) here in Austin, I am always looking for products to keep the sun off the baby. And I need those products to take to the beach, too. I really love OSA's stroller canopy shown above. The reviews say it is wind resistant (another problem here), and at $25 it's a lot cheaper than buying a new stroller.
I'm thinking this sun cabana, which got great reviews, may be helpful at the beach. While baby does NOT like to be "confined," she equally dislikes having the sun in her face or glaring off the sand. So she may hang out in here. I know I will. The cabana currently is on sale for about $30.

I am super-excited about these Sun Smarties rashguards (about $13) and swimsuits. Not only do they have SPF 50 sun protection, but the suits (boys and girls styles) have built-in swim diapers! Woo hoo! Just be sure to order big, because the reviews say they run very small. These are also about $13, which is cheap considering how much you can save on swim diapers.

Check it out. They have lots of stuff on sale right now and free shipping on orders over $100. And if you spend too much, blame Rebecca!

Ooh La Lunch!

Since many of us have reached the point where it's can be royal pain in the rump to feed these toddlers, I thought we'd look ahead to future babies and kids who are old enough to carry a way cool lunch box.

How cute is this spoon!? Airplane sounds effects not included. Available at Wishing Fish.

For the budding Jackson Pollock or Mark Rothko, there is this adorable little painter's palette baby plate. Available at Baby Oliver.

I'm not sure if this is revolutionary or gross. It's the "squeezy spoon" that allows you to feed baby "with one arm tied behind your back." Basically, you fill the spoon with pureed baby food and then squeeze out bite after bite. Available at Land of Nod.

These Bento box lunch boxes are so incredibly cool, I just might start packing my lunch for work instead of grabbing a South Beach meal from the freezer. In case you didn't know, packing a "pretty" lunch, Japanese style, is quite the rage at the school cafeteria. There are many online resources available for you to peruse in your spare time. But the upside of this high maintenance lunch is getting to put it into this way cool box. Available at Plastica. Bon appetit!

Potty Talk

Why not make potty-training stylish and fun! First up, this sleek, Scandanavian potty by Baby Bjorn. With its clean lines and modern look, your baby can do his or her business in style.

And for an entertaining and practical accoutrement, The Potty Caddy Book. This clever kit opens up like an armoire, with one side holding kiddy reading material and an instructional manual ("Step 1, take off your diaper"), and the other side containing a kid-sized roll of TP.

Both are available from Amazon.
