I Organized . . .

. . . this craft room shelf. The binders have all those pages I pulled out of my Martha's, as well as print-outs of lots of awesome internet tutorials and free patterns. I don't know that I'll ever make even a tiny percentage of all these patterns/tutorials, but that's okay because I like flipping through and looking at the pictures.

Hooray! They look great! My 1 giant binder is getting out of control, so I think I'll separate into smaller ones like you. I also can't imagine ever making everything I cut out, but at least it's all there in case the opportunity ever arises. :-)

I love it! And I know what you mean by some of the projects may never get done but they are fun to look at! My book is plum full of ideas...better just buy another book :)

Have a great weekend!

Hey! I do the exact same thing with pages I pull from mags! I even decorate and label the binders the same way. Smart girl! Did you use vinyl to label the binders?

It looks awesome, I am working on organizing mine right now. And I am getting a new sewing machine, YEAH! What do you use?

I love magazines, but hate the space they take up. I just finished doing binders just like yours! I have 2 decorating binders, one for tutorials/projects, and one for other stuff. Isn't it fun to page through?

I'm not nearly as organized, but I covet your binders for the pages I tore from my stacks and stacks of Martha this winter. Mine are in a pile on a shelf at the mo... she would cringe!

Thanks for the message you left on my blog just now - that was so sweet of you!

I am pushing for my own craft corner in our house, right now all my stuff is all in bins and all mixed up. I hope you dont mind I steal your idea. I love that you put pretty paper unde4r the plastic to spice up those boring binders.

I so need to add some more pretty paper to my Martha reference binders. Yours look so cute, I have a bazillion years already cut up and categorized in binders but I have about four more years worth of stacks that need to be sorted through. I love being able to look at all her great ideas by topic at once. Seeing them online is just not a satisfying as flipping pages from her gorgeous magazines. I see you have the newest craft book, don't you love it!

Ashlee, I love the binder idea! Since I started blogging and finding so many ideas this would be perfect for keeping them organized. Thanks for the idea!

I need to do that. So very badly. I have a lot of respect for you!

Hi - looks as if your organization paid off. I have always pulled patterns or inspirational pictures out of old magazines and put them in a binder. But you have gone the extra step and put them in categories and labeled them beautifully. Great job

I'm late reading this, but wanted you to know the patterns on the binder spines is such simple genius. I'm shocked I couldn't think of that myself, and hope you'll be flattered by some shameless copying!
